VOXITI · PRACTICAL GUIDE

Keep your provider when changing phone systems

Check your SIP trunk, numbers and transition tests before activating Voxiti.

Platform and provider have separate roles

Voxiti organises extensions, voice menus, queues, transfers and call history. Your provider supplies the trunk, numbers and communications. Check that your contract supports a connection to an external platform; a consumer phone service may not be enough.

  • Ask for trunk specifications and connection requirements.
  • List the numbers to retain and simultaneous calls required.
  • Confirm authentication by SIP account or authorised network address.

Keep or port your numbers

With the same provider, the main task is routing numbers to the new platform. If you also change provider, arrange portability and timing with them before setting a transition date.

  • Identify the number holder and contract.
  • Confirm outbound caller ID.
  • Do not cancel the old service before agreeing the transition.

Test before switching

Test both directions using your team’s actual devices and networks. A ringing phone is not enough. Voxiti reviews compatibility and prepares these checks with you.

  • Inbound/outbound calls, two-way audio and caller ID.
  • Keypad menu, hold and extension transfers.
  • Simultaneous calls and unanswered-call handling.
